February 3
8:57 AM EST : Last Quarter Moon in Scorpio @ 14 Scorpio 54
11:14 AM EST : Sun @ 15 Aquarius 00

FIXED signs don’t necessarily mix easily. While the Scorpio Moon wants privacy – the Sun-in-Aquarius wants everyone to be present. But the Scorpio Moon may also have the inside scoop on the Aquarius Sun’s unconventional tendencies. It sees the dents and scratches in the glossy hi-tech social veneer, the problems that our very human nature creates. To get to the bottom of things, you can steel yourself and do it ‘for the greater good.’ Or because the cause seems more important than the individual emotions.

The Aquarius Sun has a scientific detachment that helps the Scorpio Moon to easily ‘read’ our inner secrets. And that can make it much easier to get someone to do what you want. After all, you’re just trying to get them do to their best. Careful with the power! The moment you try to use ‘the power’ for your advantage, you run the risk of being overcome by your own obsessions. This happens when sensitive feelings – that refuse to be shared – get bruised. And need time to heal. And can even become overly sensitive and overly hurt, usually more unintentionally than it seems. Aquarius is not a manipulator. Holding on to feelings – instead of letting the e-motions flow – can freeze energy. Keeping the emotion stuck. Private heartache and loneliness.

Remember how cool you’ve been under pressure. Applaud yourself for your ability to tap into your own deep wells of inner strength and positive energy. For your ability to go the depths, and hang in there. And sometimes, for your ability to just say NO.

The seasonal midpoint chart itself can act as a weather indicator for the next season – the second half of winter. However, this chart is specific to the NorthEast US. The 4th and 10th house cusps are the weather vanes. Note that in this chart, the square of the Scorpio Moon to the Aquarius Sun happens everywhere. This can make for some chilly energy. Weather patterns can seem to stall and only wild weather can break them.

In NYC (and most of the NorthEast), Venus is at the top of the chart. The Sun rules the 4th house, and the Sun is at the top of the chart, in the middle of the 10th house, with Venus on the cusp of the 10th. Venus at the Midheaven (MC) means it may look beautiful outside even if it’s moist – and since it’s Aquarius, that probably means snow. (It is already predicted to be snowing on February 3 in the northeast) Jupiter is TRINE the Sun/Venus midpoint, so whatever comes from the sky, there will be plenty of it. The TRINE is in AIR (Jupiter, Venus, and the Sun are in AIR signs), so this means there can be pleasant breezes that can spike to high winds. Socialize, light up the world, and stay warm.

From this chart – with the Sun directly overhead – it would seem the groundhog DOES see his/her shadow. However, Venus-in-Aquarius at the highest point of the chart increases the chance of snow. So more winter ahead… Along with early tulips.
