Astrology is a brilliant way to read energy patterns. It seems there are many who are feeling under it right now, from physical injuries to hurt feelings. Yet, there is also a feeling of optimism. A few things right now. We are approaching a FULL MOON – the energy that enlarges and brings everything to a ‘head.’

Mars-in-Aquarius is square the Lunar Nodes (in Scorpio-Taurus). Mars is also at the Uranus/Pluto midpoint. This is a volatile moment. People and groups with anti-social agendas can be motivated to take social action (Mars is in Aquarius, and ruler Uranus is in Mars-ruled Aries). But the action taken can have bad timing, and can also make them unpopular with a majority of people (square the Nodes). This is karmic, since it is the Nodes.

If you are attacking others because of something YOU created, you are collecting negative karma.

Briefly, the Moon will inconjunct Mars overnight between the 25th/26th. The Moon, still in Cancer, can be extra defensive, and angry. To protect hurt feelings, it can project onto someone who has nothing to do with the situation. Before you accuse, or feel accused – whose problem is it, really. Is it a problem, or a misunderstanding? Forcing or taking responsibility when it’s not yours to give or take won’t solve anyone’s problems, although it can create negative karma (this is a square to the NODES). And our main concern on this blog is always healing.

Saturn will square the Full Moon in Leo. This is a FIXED t-square, with Saturn at the focal point. We may be seeing a lot of entrenched resistance. More than the principles or reasons for the resistance, it can be more about the habit of resisting. And since this is in FIXED signs, to staunch Saturn, it is not going to stop anytime soon. And now for the good news. Where you’ll be happy and relieved that you released all that resistance! Jupiter. Jupiter is stationing DIRECT next week (Jan 31). We know that because the Sun is trine Jupiter – and that happens twice a year – within a week before Jupiter stations Retrograde AND Direct. This is the most optimistic of the 2 trines because this time, the promise is real. It’s not going away. It’s not going to disappear. And to sweeten the deal, Uranus is sextile both the Sun and Jupiter – change is positive, fast, exciting. Ready? Excellent! Because this is when all your hope, dreams, and wishes can come true – in a heartbeat.
