There’s no getting around it — this is a POWERFUL and DANGEROUS Eclipse. Absolute power and money can be a dangerous combination.
Eclipses are exciting. Especially in the prophesied year of 2012. Eclipses have a scary rep because ECLIPSES occur when the LUNAR NODES are conjunct the Sun and Moon during a New or Full Moon (the Lunations). Nodes symbolize fate. So Eclipses are about experiencing FATE.
South Node symbolizes the past and inner worlds. North Node- the future and the world we share. This Lunar Eclipse is conjunct the North Node. (the previous Solar Eclipse was South Node.)
Eclipses are doorways to new dimensions. And all together, as a planet, we enter the doorway into a new world. Things are never the same after Eclipses. The curtains open, an obscured but potent truth is revealed. The Eclipses are also the times when many great beings leave this material world. Things really do change. They have to. It’s fate.
The tension of this Lunar Eclipse is INTENSE — Mars is square the Full Moon and EXACTLY square Venus — challenging our values and what we’re willing to do to get what we want. Violence is not off the table. There’s much more…
Uranus is square Pluto (creating a T-Square to Mars) so there are major social changes occurring (through 2015), and Venus is conjunct Sun– the time the Aztecs “set armies marching.’ This position of Mars shows we are on the BRINK — we can either step up and be who we are, or step down and not bother. Stepping up, moving beyond generations of auto-repression, can mean getting a blast of anger from all the factions whose hatred is aroused by what you symbolize. (Mars arrives at the brink point on October 14, check the previous post on the Solar Eclipse for Mars-Eclipse timing and info.) The anger is real and visceral. And so are ruthless plans for “justice.” In the chart for NYC, Mars is EXACTLY conjunct the IC, Pluto is EXACTLY conjunct the DES. NO orb in either case.
At the least there will be extreme unsettled weather on the US East Coast. And the exact placements of Pluto and Mars on the angles of the NYC chart indicate the power meeting that is scheduled for Monday, June 4, and the GREAT dangers inherent. This exact placements show the potential for SERIOUS LIVE-THREATENING DANGER TO THE LEADER. Power is dangerous in this chart.
The Moon and North Node are in Sagittarius, asking us to look at the deep-rooted stories we believe because they influence what we believe, who we believe, and what we justify. We can justify many actions due to what we ‘believe’ without question.
This Eclipse is the time you can clearly see the flaws in the old stories.
While the Eclipse represents an opening to see beyond quick slogans and talking points — to drop the lies-for-profit and find real answers — it can be a challenge to achieve the necessary focus. Astrology can only provide the spiritual perspective. We have free will to do what we please. We don’t have to listen and except for those on the leading-edge, we usually don’t.
Slogan sound bites cut on biases may seem “right”, yet may not provide the real answers that are required to move forward, solve serious problems that could be solved. And the lack of focus may not create a friendly environment for cooperative sharing of ideas and information, all vital for turning ideas and work into money, productivity. Instead of connecting for maximum wealth and efficient productivity, we can be easily distracted, overly self-centered, and fail to follow through on important plans. Unconscious defensiveness may be at the root, yet to transform the resistance of defensiveness into acceptance usually happens on an individual basis, when we are ready to look further than instant answers.
To realize your best intentions, keep your intention and hoped-for results clearly in mind. And get to it. Step out– as yourself. Yes, there will be (are) people who HATE you and whatever you do, and will (do) send you as much negative energy as you’re willing to focus on, yet it’s something only the ‘hater’ can choose to move past. Your job is to focus on what pleases you to think about, what makes you feel you are effortlessly in your flow. Because regardless of the strong negative energy vibrations you may be feeling and noticing around you — it’s GO time.
It could be worth it! When you are yourself, having digested (Virgo) the negative emotions, and flowing with Source, you can experience limitless energy, vitality, and health. Enjoy~
There’s another aspect to this Eclipse that’s important — VENUS. Venus is Retrograde and will conjunct the Sun on June 5. This means Venus is occluded by the Sun during the Eclipse (hidden from our view). This is a rare occurrence that happens twice a century. Planets and points at 15 degrees of all Mutable signs are most effected by the current Eclipse-Venus events. This degree is highly energized in all personal and public charts.
