Today Mercury (in Cancer) squares Uranus and opposes Pluto, calling out the current Uranus – Pluto square that is becoming more exact by the day. (first exact square of 5 over the next 3 years is June 24)

Pluto is Retrograde. Uranus is approaching the square to Pluto from Aries. There will be challenges from the people to the powers that be. And if conditions are not intense enough to protest, hold on, we have 3 years of this square and things can easily get to that point. Meanwhile, we are at a highly charged defensive moment. And current Mercury transits will make this out loud and clear. Look for strong statements made now. Comments and criticisms can be highly charged and create great opposition and challenge to those who disagree. As the screws tighten, there is little chance of (willing) conciliation or concessions made as both sides square off. Defensiveness really does create strong blocks. Expect strong, divisive statements from extremists who intend to build big walls.

You can move through and past this, if you can consciously realize where you agree to be a bully or a victim and remain neutral. Look at where your ego is being defensive. Make different choices. Put your ego to work. Be productive – and feel a lot less anxiety.
