Pluto Retrograde
Pluto made a Retrograde at 5 Capricorn (Tuesday, April 6). Pluto and Saturn are still square. They seem to be separating– that is just an illusion. Saturn will move backwards into Virgo on Wednesday, April 7. Saturn will continue traveling in Virgo until it makes a Direct station on May 30. By mid summer (July 21), Saturn will be back in Libra, and on August 21, Saturn and Pluto will square exactly– while Jupiter is square Pluto and opposing Saturn, creating a powerful Cardinal T-square to Pluto — as Uranus opposes Saturn 3 more times. That is stressful transformation. In June, Jupiter and Uranus will conjunct in early Aries, but Uranus Retrogrades back into Pisces in August, so consciousness may not be fully clear, while following impulses gains increasing momentum. This spring/summer is a time of finding and using inner strength– and we can have very intense reactions to anyone who gets in the way. Many will have the opinion that being cooperative makes you a loser, sharing is contemptuous, supporting others is off topic and weak — it’s every person for themselves. And as more people start to assume this attitude, it starts to permeate everywhere, you can experience it anywhere. You can be adamantly, fervently, passionately against natural processes, yet they will continue to happen… You can see them as “the enemy” or– if you’re ready to do some hard work and FOCUS– as an opportunity for major personal growth.
Casting off our shadows onto others is only natural since it’s unconscious — we don’t even know we’re doing it. Yet, there are clues that help us see into what is usually hidden. Like Monday morning’s Moon-Pluto conjunction reminding us that Pluto is stationing RETROGRADE (official on Apr 6), and potentially revealing places where our beliefs in “shoulds” and “supposed-to’s” have become inconsistent, extreme, or ungrounded. Our inconsistencies are little openings into our psyche, little doorways to help us see our shadows. Can we look at our shadows– or will we continue to pretend it’s all someone else’s fault. It’s very interesting how UPSET people in the US are over “socialized” health care. They rail against it, even though we already have several ways we all share the costs, like Medicare. I heard members of Congress saying there is no other precedent for mandatory insurance– and the interviewer agreeing. What about car insurance? Just checking answers.com, in 2009 all states except Wisconsin and Tennessee have mandatory insurance laws to drive your car on the road. We pay or we incur severe penalties. We also are very firm that the internet be a FREE source of sharing, and most of us (99.99%) are unwilling to pay to support the things we read or use daily, thinking it’s all paid for. My viewers tell me this is their coffee blog. Mine too. And some green energy in return would be appreciated to keep the energy circulating…. but that is literally a topic of debate at CUNY this week: Creativity, Copyright and Culture: April 8: Macaulay Honors College. Maybe all the internet needs to be are cartoons and shopping sites, maybe that’s really all we want.
Looking at the chart for the time Pluto makes this Retrograde station, Mercury and Venus are just past trine to Pluto, adding (temporarily?) to financial optimism. Saturn is moving backwards, away from the square to Pluto, yet this is not over. Pluto is also quincunx (inconjunct- 150 degrees) Mars. Mars is now in Leo, just starting to get some momentum after making its Direct station in March. So it makes sense that our unconscious (Pluto) is not in aligned with our energy (Mars) — we literally don’t know what we’re doing. The more anger and hostility we spin, the more we are unconsciously projecting onto others and the more alienated and lost in our spin we become. Will we spin ourselves a web or a bridge?
Many of us will accuse and blame whoever we can instead of look at ourselves, even if casting blame is indirectly blocking your road to fulfillment by giving all your power to those you “hate” the most. Against progress? Thinking you’ll just stay under the bed till this passes? Remaining in an unnaturally cramped position will do nothing for your health or your success. What if life was more than that?
It is possible! As Pluto makes its Retrograde station, it is also trine Venus– attractions are powerful now, especially if you coordinate loving others with self-empowerment, instead of manipulating to get one or the other.
