Saturday night. As the Moon enters Aquarius, the cloud lifts, the future seems bright, your friends are ready to have fun. The atmosphere is supportive and positive. And tomorrow, the good feelings just keep growing and energizing.
Friday. Mercury stations Retrograde. Venus conjuncts Mars. Even the best, most practical and constructive new ideas can take additional time and information to actualize. While affections can grow… It is possible for money to accompany passion.

Venus-Mars gets more interesting (which is why it got its own post) as they both changes signs in September and enter Scorpio. At that point, they move from Venus-ruled Libra into Mars-ruled Scorpio. What goes around, comes around, and this is a good time to see things from different sides without having to go very far.

Mercury Retrograde stations can be confusing, the change of direction can make your mind spin as the pace can change rapidly. Along with Mercury Rx, the Sun is opposing Neptune. Things may not seem quite as clear as they seemed. Words and messages can be taken differently than intended. Is there a communication breakdown– or– perhaps our imaginations are reminding us to check in with our inner spiritual Self.
Thursday. The day before the storm. I’d say the calm, but it’s the frantic before the storm. Friday, Mercury stations Retrograde, Venus and Mars conjunct, and Saturn and Pluto square. The problem is, we value frantic — even more than calm inner peace. We think we are making progress when we have lots to do. We’re simply too busy to even look at what our inner self is trying to tell us. When our entire focus is on the ego, or what’s outside, we run right into difficulties. But our culture has a solution– blame whoever or whatever force “got in our way.” Just as long as we don’t look into our inner self. And without doing that, we give up our essential right to be ourselves– and allow ourselves to get even more frantic. And that what makes the “corrections” of retrogrades so hard on us. We feel that we should have whatever we want and put as much energy into our agenda as possible, yet, we don’t live on this planet alone and sometimes we all need to slow down and chill out. The day before Mercury Rx is usually not that day!
This week started with a First Quarter Moon in Scorpio [23 Scorpio 47].
The Moon in Scorpio squares the Sun in Leo. This also places the Moon at the focal point of a Fixed T-Square, as the Moon squares both Sun and Neptune (as Sun approaches opposition to Neptune).
Will suspicions be revealed or will revelations be suspicious?!

The First Quarter Moon squares the Sun and opposes Neptune, putting the Moon at the Sun/Neptune midpoint. Here’s the Daily Moon description of this aspect:
“Moon opposite Sun/Neptune. This is a time for dreaming, for healing and for helping those less fortunate than you. Your instincts can carry you up to your highest ideals, filling you with inspiration and showing those around you how magical life can be.”
This Quarter Moon can reveal (privately) just how personally you take things and how much that effects how well you treat yourself and others. Hidden agendas can come to a breaking point as emotions intensify, regardless of how much you think you have it under control. (Secret) demands can have deep roots that may not be easy to notice, or change. Negative beliefs and feelings can be held onto tightly and shared psychically, thinking it’s going undetected. When you realize that holding tightly to resentment and other negative emotions keep you in a tense pattern that holds you back, you can more easily release your most resistant, persistent, deep-rooted negative feelings, without a dramatic outburst. If you can use your ability to focus your emotions to maintain self-control and hold onto your inner dignity– regardless of the (subliminal) hecklers, you can be the power-star that you truly are.

Today’s Astrology Horoscope (for all signs)
After making a trine to Pluto (July 13), Venus, planet of relatedness, has not made any major aspects this week and won’t make any aspects to others planets (except the Moon) until August 8 when Venus leaves Virgo and conjuncts Saturn in Libra. So even though Venus is still in early Virgo, it is not going to make aspects to other planets, except the Moon.
Although we can feel Venus moving carefully through the sign of Virgo, especially when the Moon contacts Venus, the lack of aspects does not make socializing easy! It’s time to learn lessons in love and friendship– before Venus enters its home/rulership sign of Libra and conjuncts Saturn, intensifying serious social responsibilities. Venus attracts, but there’s less to attract. Venus wants to touch, but who? When we can’t attract what we desire from the outside, we can get make friends with ourselves, and feel our own inner harmony. Make your own music!
Mars and Ceres are approaching an exact square (July 16). This approaching square was prominent in Sunday’s Solar Eclipse. This inharmonious pairing of the warrior god with the great mother can create tension. Who is in control? Who is not? Effective action can be sabotaged by underlying complexes that need to be changed from feelings of inadequacy to courage. The anger you feel may not be your own, yet if you’re carrying it, you can pass it on to anyone close enough to feel it. Instead of getting stuck in personal battles, how can you teach friends, family, and your community to not only take care of themselves, but care for the Earth itself?
As the week starts off, apres Eclipse, Mercury trines Jupiter and Venus trines Pluto. With your excellent judgment, this is the time to merge deeply. Jam with friends and finances. Renew an old relationship. Make your relationships more harmonious.

Today’s Astrology Horoscope (for all signs)
As the week begins, Venus, the relatedness planet, trines Uranus and then Jupiter (note: Uranus and Jupiter are conjunct in the first degrees of Aries, which means they do big things). This can be like a bell going off. You can hear bells and fall in love. You can hear the bell and know it’s time to go.
It’s a good time to mix, network, socialize for fun and profit. Get the word out. Let people know what you do. If you are able to open to your intuition, and follow it, this can be your lucky break.
This is not necessarily about love that lasts forever. The kind of love you put in your pocket and own. It could be, but the larger point is that you can open your heart and feel passion and enthusiasm for love and life.
Jupiter and Uranus: freedom of mind and jumping to to quick conclusions–
Before you jump— What if nothing is “WRONG”?! What if what you think is wrong enough to get you upset, is just how that thing or person works, it’s a function of the person or thing, it’s simply following it’s own natural law that you don’t know about unless you choose to find out and set out on a process of discovery and understanding. If you need to find peace, and hopefully we all do, finding the natural law of something will give you peace, but you need to free yourself from blame and judgments, of others and yourself. We all have choices. Are we going to believe in a friendly universe or one that is out to “get us”, make us into victims? When we jump to the conclusion that something is WRONG, we put ourselves instantly into a victim position. What more can we think and do? What if we just choose to open our minds to the positive, even if it seems like everything is wrong?
The day after the 62-foot Jesus statue outside of Cincinnati, Ohio was torched by a lightning bolt, or Zeus, or Jupiter in astrology, there were several YODS (see below)…. perhaps God wants to talk to more of us than one person!! Interesting chart for the actual event in Cincinnati, OH, which took place at 11:15 PM EDT according to the AP (associated press). Not the chart you’d think or the statue you’d imagine God would pick to smite this mega statue of Jesus (and as Einstein said, “God does not play dice”). The adult bookstore went untouched while Jesus burned. Is there a message? What is the message? You can read the pundits and you can look at the chart. The Moon was at the very last minutes of Cancer, approaching a conjunction with lovin’ Venus at 0 Leo. Both were trine Jupiter and Uranus (at 1 and 0 Aries, respectively). This is fire trine, this is a love trine, this is a spark of divine love. The Moon was not quite into Leo at the time, being void of course in Cancer. Is there still time to rethink our policies on LOVE? To open our hearts? To admit we care? Or are we too obsessed with being right, with having more, with making sure everyone else knows we are better than they are? Where is all this headed and does it matter?
Astrology is not a light subject. If you study it, you know it is actually very scholarly. We “use” it without knowing the foundations and principles of metaphysics. Sometimes we get it right, and many times the true meanings go over our heads because we are not willing to STOP and do the thinking it requires to understand. This can eventually take us to a place where we want to slow down and listen. Meanwhile, we skim the surface, accusing and blaming and flaming the fires of phobias instead of fanning the fires of love.
Thursday-Friday. The Moon is in Virgo with ruler Mercury in Gemini. Clean up your act! On paper and in your home and office.

If you don’t know, it’s a great time to learn. The more you know, the more clarity you can bring to any situation. Blame only obscures by overlaying powerplays and manipulation where there needs to be openness and understanding. Step one is listening. That alone is extremely difficult for most of us who are attuned to our ego-mind which is focused on achievement and has to be right. We need a strong ego, but also a healthy, balanced ego that also guided by the inner, unconscious realm. Focusing only the ego can create dramatic problems that seem insurmountable. And they are unless you are willing to listen and patiently look within as well as point blaming fingers at others. Perhaps we are afraid of what we might hear and the changes that may mean we know we need to make, yet…. Today’s 3 Yods show how pointing the blame takes you in endless circles…..
Since Yods are said to represent the hand of fate, are our lives fated, or are we just lazy and comfort-driven. Is free-will ours, if only we could take it. Or are we restricted by the patterns of our personality, our desires and needs, to fulfill our “fate”?
