Today’s Astrology Horoscope (for all signs)

Sunday evening. As the weekend ends, there can be a feeling of power, and also of pressure. Is the pressure really coming from someone else, or is it coming from your own major inner life goals. As you sort this out and release internal pressure, you can feel good enough about your Self to be thankful for past week and confident about the week ahead.

Sunday. The Moon just entered Taurus and will take part in a Grand Earth Trine today. Your intelligence can manifest almost anything. When you put your mind to it, you can find ingenious ways to use tools and resources. It’s a good day to relax; merge with calming energy and make plans for the week ahead.

Saturday’s Aries Moon — opposing Vesta then Mars and Venus — can stretch your patience, especially if there’s pressure to do too much too fast. Yet, with ruler Mars in diplomatic Venus-ruled Libra, it can be worth the stretch to accommodate an opposing point of view– unless someone uses sentimentality to get their way. Some conflict can add to your energy, unless you let it force a hasty response.

Friday! Weekend for those of us lucky enough to be working!!! Time off from anything is essential for renewal. Just as the enthusiasm crests, the pressure is on. And just when you’re feeling extra generous and uplifted, someone can say something contrary or defeatist. Sure, there’s pressure, but this is a great day to focus on what you CAN do, and figure our when you can DO it! Even if you really do have to wait a little while…

Thursday night the mood can lift, lighten, and dramatically change as the Moon conjuncts unpredictable Uranus and then enters energizing Aries. The journey of the Pisces Moon through the unconscious imagination may have given you original insights and inspirations that may be ready to share as the Moon enters Aries (10 pm edt) and conjuncts Jupiter overnight. Not everyone may be on the same page just yet, and speaking before thinking can start some sparks. It’s a good night to think carefully about what you want to share and how you’re going to do it.

Thursday ~~ the Moon is still swimming in Pisces. Dress like you could meet up with someone very interesting. If someone doesn’t understand, pushing a point can increase tension… slow down and explain it again. Freaking can seem like a release, yet throw you further off balance. Keep your focus on the positive potentials and leave room for improvement.

Wednesday, the Moon is still in Pisces~~ moods can come on suddenly for no apparent reason. You may be feeling the general cultural undertow of emotion that is usually just part of the background, yet seems to permeate the atmosphere like dense fog while the Moon is in Pisces. And today, Wednesday, although the Moon is approaching a conjunction with Uranus (Thursday night) — until then, the Moon makes no major aspects to other planets, so there is nothing to bounce off. It’s a good time to sit with your feelings and see what bubbles to the surface.

As you let go of the need for others to care about your every need, you can start taking better care of your Self. And enjoy relationships based on mutual like instead of one person needing the other for everything.

Don’t believe the hype about Mars appearing as large as the Moon on Friday evening (August 27, 2010). According to earthsky.org, this is an internet hoax.

The Sun entered Virgo on Monday, August 23. And there’s a FULL Moon in early Pisces on Tuesday.

This double-feature can help to illuminate how you feel about your work, skills, knowledge, tech ability, co-workers, and even your pets. It can give you perspective and empathy, but it can also blur boundaries and intensify emotions. Some extra thought and planning can put you in the frame of mind to get through complicated details.

This is the big day! FULL MOON rising tonight!

The Sun is in Leo! This is the rulership sign for the Sun, usually the hottest time of the year (in the Northern Hemisphere).

This year, as the Sun enters Leo, it makes a trine to Uranus, then Jupiter. There is excitement everywhere, we are stimulated and feeling our intuitive power!

And as we feel that warm glow of Leo-Sun energy combined with Uranus and Jupiter, our intuition can give us new ways of looking at old challenges. Friends and groups can influence and stimulate you, so get out there and mix with the crowd — anything can happen, and you just may be feeling friendly and positive enough to attract success beyond your wildest dreams!

Double YOD
Another aspect the Sun makes as it enters Leo is a double YOD. The Sun sextile Saturn (and Mars) creates a YOD to Neptune-Chiron; While the Moon-Pluto conjunction sextiles Neptune-Chiron and creates a YOD to the SUN. We are all personally responsible for our growth and spiritual evolution. We need both our ego and our inner spiritual wisdom. Will we just act out of habit? A double YOD is an opportunity to see something 2 ways at once. As humans, we are both ego and more than our ego. And to find our true, whole self, we need to honor our Selves. If we choose to honor the dignity that is our essential Self, acting out our negative emotions against another being will keep us moving directly towards a difficult fate. Or, we can see the inner dignity in all beings and choose to honor that.

Saturn has entered Libra! Yet another mega post coming soon…. !

Astrologically, this is a big week coming up! It culminates in a Full Moon on Sunday, and continues through next Monday when Saturn and Uranus oppose exactly. I’ve written a long blog about this historic (and long-term) opposition that has its final conclusion next Monday. There is much to be learned from the current astrology transits, or we can just keep pointing fingers….

Along with the Full Moon on Sunday, there are other, major oppositions forming. Mercury is exactly opposing Neptune at the time of the Full Moon. AND– There is a major culmination of a long-term opposition of Saturn and Uranus (see the
blog entry on this page). But that’s not all. Jupiter is conjunct Uranus and Saturn is conjunct Saturn. Saturn-Mars opposes Jupiter-Uranus, and crisscross to form a Mystic Rectangle. And the Mercury-Neptune opposition goes right through the middle, forming a YOD to Neptune-Chiron. That means that both opposition intersects and form trines and sextiles. This is helpful. This is fateful. It shows that despite all the vast and serious differences, and they are strong, there are solutions; cooperation is possible. Healing is possible. But it depends on how we behave, our attitude, the choices we make.

Today, Sunday, is the Total Solar Eclipse!

Weekend [update] Friday and Saturday, Mercury and Venus change signs. Mercury at the very end of Cancer has been making a sextile with Saturn at the very end of Virgo. This is great getting professional or business advice, for doing some serious deep thinking that requires detail and precision. You can learn from someone older and/or wiser, find just the right book or information.

Yet– both Saturn and Mercury are inconjunct (quincunx) Neptune, forming a YOD. Despite all the daily concerns, you can keep the difficulties life at a comfortable distance where you don’t have to focus on the harsh reality outside your ideal world. Yet, when you separate yourself from the world, your imagination can work against you instead of for you, adding to loneliness and mistrust of others who just don’t fit into your idealized model of what’s “supposed” to be. Venus enters Virgo on Saturday, July 10. Meanwhile, on Friday, Venus’ day of the week, Venus is void of course in the last degree of Leo. The desire for love and beauty can be bursting in your heart, yet does anyone (but you) see how lovely you are? Once Venus enters Virgo it’s time for learning more about Love. What can your relationships do for you?! Venus in Virgo thinks very realistically about love and relationships.

As Mercury enters Leo, it trines Uranus Saturday and Jupiter on Sunday, just after the Eclipse. These Mercury transits suggest using your brain power effortlessly. Your mind can be open, and that can help you easily leap up a learning curve that seemed far beyond reach– before now.

The week started off with Uranus making its yearly Retrograde station. But this means Uranus will transit back into Pisces, going all the way back to 26 Pisces 40 on December 5. So everyone with late Pisces points and planets, the shakeup is not quite over, but what you have learned can change your attitude and perspective on how to make the changes you’re experiencing work for you and others.

However, before Uranus slinks back into Pisces, Saturn will oppose Uranus at 0 Aries 25 on July 26. By that time, Jupiter will also be traveling Retrograde and therefore still conjunct Uranus, while Mars is quickly gaining on Saturn, and will conjunct Saturn exactly on July 31. So this opposition is more than Saturn-Uranus. It includes a Jupiter-Mars opposition, a Jupiter-Uranus conjunction, and a Mars-Saturn conjunction. Which way are we going!???! And how do we approach, and even heal a split where both sides are SURE the other side is completely wrong. The more we deny our hidden parts, the more we add to them. Being whole is not necessarily showing your best side all the time.

Also this week (Thursday), Mercury inconjuncts (quincunx) Neptune while Venus opposes Neptune. This is a lot of illusion and disillusion. But instead of putting all your lost hopes on someone else for not coming through, it can be more beneficial to check out your expectations. When we expect to be cared for, we can find ourselves disappointed in the quality of the care we receive. We say, “I could have done better myself!” and that’s a clue! These opposing planets give us an objective view of something that is usually hazy and idealized. If you’re an adult, you may be asked to sacrifice some of your child-ish or naive beliefs and expectations and take more personal responsibility for living your dreams. What does it really take? Are you really willing to do whatever it takes, or are you blaming someone to avoid and evade? And thereby keeping your illusions intact? If everyone seems wrong and you are feeling increasingly annoyed at their imperfections, this is the time to take a step back and check your view– you’re probably not nearly as powerless as you think! The gift of these aspects is the potential to see your blind spots and unblock your own imagination.
