After sending the last newsletter yesterday, most of the responses I received were from Pisces. And this morning we learned Senator Kennedy, a larger-than-life Pisces, had passed.
So what is up with Pisces? They seem to need some guidance right now. What is it about Pisces that people don’t quite get? Simple. Pisces sees the higher vision, the perfected ideal. For many of us, that feels insulting. We’re trying our best, yet Pisces see something better. There’s a timely message in that! Saturn is approaching a quincunx (150 degree inconjunct angle) to Retrograde Neptune, the ruler of Pisces. Saturn-Neptune inconjunct on September 12 (then May 2, 2010 and June 28, 2010)
With the influx of planets from mutable to cardinal signs, and the focus on Mercury at the center of a T-Square as it moves into Libra, we are in a rush to get our point across, to empower our positions, to insure that we exert our power and influence– before we know what we are saying. Something is missing. Something we need to see but can’t because it’s in our blindspot. And while that something may not be something we can hold and own, its importance is equal to our physical treasures. We all have dreams and ideals. We can call them illusions. We can say that since you can’t hold a dream, it’s not important, child’s play, nothing to focus on, unless you’re a silly fool. Yet, our dreams guide us, inform our actions, give us direction. Without a dream, our lives would just be a series of unconnected, meaningless events.
Mercury recently made a quincunx to Neptune (and will 2 more times as Mercury Retrogrades), and Jupiter is approaching a quincunx to Neptune. The aspect perfects on September 12; however, this outer planet aspect can be felt for weeks ahead and after.
The Mercury-Neptune quincunx will repeat twice more as Mercury stations Retrograde and then Direct (exact dates are: August 20, September 23, October 4). This takes a seemingly minor aspect and magnifies its potential effects. However, Mercury has just made an inconjunct to Neptune and will Retrograde back to another conjunction with Saturn and do it again (September 22, 23). Although we may think we know what we want and have well-defined goals, at other times we can feel lost at sea, not quite sure which way is up or down, not sure if we are really navigating successfully. Unclear events and messages come at us from our blind spot(s).
Mercury stationing in Libra shows the importance of balanced thought. Equality. Balance means all elements are equally present and important. The inconjunct (quincunx) shows that we only see what we want to see. So we miss a significant amount of information when we move too fast. We have a large blindspot that can trick us. We can even miss our good points and not use or give our greatest gifts because we think they are just not “good enough”; we may think we don’t really measure up. But to what? This is an aspect that can awaken guilt complexes. And to work past these feelings we may need to ease up on standards that demand perfection.
Yet, despite all our practical endeavors, it is our imagination, our ideals, that create the most real and lasting transformations in this world.
It is our dreams that tell our story. Without a story, our lives would be series of unconnected events with no meaning or purpose.
The dream may wither, bend, and twist, but it will never die.

Lauren
