Tuesday’s Full Moon in Pisces is a very spiritual Full Moon. The Moon is at the Jupiter/Pluto midpoint, in Pisces. This pattern can empower your dreams and imagination, and add to your ability to psychologically interpret and deeply understand their messages. This is an excellent time to journal and do active imagination work. Once engaged, your intuition may have solutions to current ongoing challenges posed by the Cardinal T-square. The meditation portal is opening….

The Sun in Virgo and Mercury Retrograde in Virgo remind us that after enlightenment, carry the water; the work helps to purify; the cycle continues.

Most astrologers and astro enthusiasts use the modern rulers of the signs, but for personal meaning, i still still prefer the classical rulers. So if we take Jupiter as the ruler of Pisces (instead of Neptune), Jupiter is exactly semi-sextile the Pisces Moon at the time of the Full Moon. (Jupiter is also inconjunct the Sun). This is an easy-come, easy-go kind of aspect, where things just fall into place, only to be swept out with the tide. Perhaps Jupiter is reminding us to enjoy it while we have it– not to gloss over our blessings and generosity, but to really appreciate what we have. “Just” a good laugh at the right time can create a state of grace. Small mercies can go a long way on this Full Moon. Extending even the smallest act of generosity can enhance you.

The Full Moon in Pisces is Here’s the chart:

Full Moon meditation:
Full Moons are good times for insights into what is usually hidden. The insights we receive from studying astrology can add to the process of becoming whole, of individuating. Many of us are focused on what we can judge with our 5 senses, so to us, the inner realm really is invisible. We don’t see it, so we don’t value or give much credence to the inner Self, the realm of the imagination, the meditative world, the flow of psychic energy. We believe the psychic realm is hype put out there by fortune tellers. Yet, in terms of the 5 senses that need to see and measure, there is no inner realm. Most of us have been taught the reality of the 5 senses is the only reality there is. Yet for those of use who have tasted the inner psychic realm, astrology acts as a psychic energy guide, helping us to know what time it is and what energy is most active, and depending on our level of consciousness, how our lives may interact with the energy flow. And our increasing consciousness does have the power and vibration to make positive changes, both personally and culturally.

Pleasant dreams~~~

Pisces: on the shoreline of fantasy

Pisces and Fantasy
Pisces gets a bad rap. Wishy washy. Undecided. Flimsy. Phony. Flaky. No one home. Off in LaLa Land. These are all things they call PIsces, although It’s not their name!!! Pisces is lucky enough (yes they are lucky, ruled by Jupiter) to have a foot in 2 worlds– the real and the unconscious. PIsces is the shoreline– the unfirm, shifting place between the ocean of the unconscious and the real earth world. The place they come together shows the impact they have on each other– how our unconscious drives impact our realworld lives, and how our lives impact our dream life and healing.

Many people mistakenly think Pisces are floating without a clue, although PIsces are actually privileged enough to float in the collective unconscious, the childlike world where all is healed. Hopefully too, Pisces are wise enough to know the difference between LaLa Land and the tough real world. Just calling it LaLa Land is disrespectful of the energy of Pisces. The collective unconscious, or the waters of Pisces, are where we receive healing and balance. It is not the real world, yet it is a world we all share. We go there when we dream. We go there when we are creative. When we meditate. When we listen to music. When we watch a movie. Most of us are able to tell the difference between the movie we just watched and our lives. It’s a story. At the end, the curtain closes– back to real life. The story may be healing. It may be a release (cathartic). It may help us gain deep understanding and give our lives meaning. But we know it is not our lives. We are able to hold our disbelief in suspension while we watch and experience a film. That’s the gift of Pisces. You enter a zone that is suspended and is healing. Last call comes! You cannot stay there! But you can swim through. And benefit from the experience.

This website is also a gateway to other worlds and knowledge. You can’t live here, though you can visit. I can’t even live here! I also leave and go to work. We need to be adult enough to tell the difference between real and spiritual, to see the shoreline. That is what we mean by taking responsibility– owning our adult needs and choices. We don’t have to be conscious! So when we come here, we can suspend our belief and enjoy what it is– a dip into the healing pool. Yet as adults, we also need to keep in mind that someone actually sits and writes this blog that helps to keep us in astrological balance–every day. That is is a service of healing. And that the healer needs an income is also very real! Being able to graciously make that distinction can give you both worlds– the healing collective unconscious AND the nitty gritty real world of human endeavors.

Now go do it— as soon as Mars stations direct on March 10 !

For your blindspot: the Mercury-Saturn-Neptune inconjunct: the dream lives….

After sending the last newsletter yesterday, most of the responses I received were from Pisces. And this morning we learned Senator Kennedy, a larger-than-life Pisces, had passed.

So what is up with Pisces? They seem to need some guidance right now. What is it about Pisces that people don’t quite get? Simple. Pisces sees the higher vision, the perfected ideal. For many of us, that feels insulting. We’re trying our best, yet Pisces see something better. There’s a timely message in that! Saturn is approaching a quincunx (150 degree inconjunct angle) to Retrograde Neptune, the ruler of Pisces. Saturn-Neptune inconjunct on September 12 (then May 2, 2010 and June 28, 2010)

With the influx of planets from mutable to cardinal signs, and the focus on Mercury at the center of a T-Square as it moves into Libra, we are in a rush to get our point across, to empower our positions, to insure that we exert our power and influence– before we know what we are saying. Something is missing. Something we need to see but can’t because it’s in our blindspot. And while that something may not be something we can hold and own, its importance is equal to our physical treasures. We all have dreams and ideals. We can call them illusions. We can say that since you can’t hold a dream, it’s not important, child’s play, nothing to focus on, unless you’re a silly fool. Yet, our dreams guide us, inform our actions, give us direction. Without a dream, our lives would just be a series of unconnected, meaningless events.

Mercury recently made a quincunx to Neptune (and will 2 more times as Mercury Retrogrades), and Jupiter is approaching a quincunx to Neptune. The aspect perfects on September 12; however, this outer planet aspect can be felt for weeks ahead and after.

The Mercury-Neptune quincunx will repeat twice more as Mercury stations Retrograde and then Direct (exact dates are: August 20, September 23, October 4). This takes a seemingly minor aspect and magnifies its potential effects. However, Mercury has just made an inconjunct to Neptune and will Retrograde back to another conjunction with Saturn and do it again (September 22, 23). Although we may think we know what we want and have well-defined goals, at other times we can feel lost at sea, not quite sure which way is up or down, not sure if we are really navigating successfully. Unclear events and messages come at us from our blind spot(s).

Mercury stationing in Libra shows the importance of balanced thought. Equality. Balance means all elements are equally present and important. The inconjunct (quincunx) shows that we only see what we want to see. So we miss a significant amount of information when we move too fast. We have a large blindspot that can trick us. We can even miss our good points and not use or give our greatest gifts because we think they are just not “good enough”; we may think we don’t really measure up. But to what? This is an aspect that can awaken guilt complexes. And to work past these feelings we may need to ease up on standards that demand perfection.

Yet, despite all our practical endeavors, it is our imagination, our ideals, that create the most real and lasting transformations in this world.

It is our dreams that tell our story. Without a story, our lives would be series of unconnected events with no meaning or purpose.

The dream may wither, bend, and twist, but it will never die.

Lauren
